Located within 3 acres of grounds in the picturesque village of Roden, in Shropshire, Roden Hall provides residential and nursing care for up to 50 elderly people. Roden Hall was originally a fine Victorian house, which has been sympathetically refurbished and extended to deliver exceptional care in a beautiful period building.
The home’s character is complemented by the retention of numerous period features, including high ceilings and intricate plasterwork. Fine original bay windows contribute to a bright and airy atmosphere. The sense of elegant living extends through residents’ bedrooms and the large number of communal rooms, where décor and furnishings are of the standard one would expect for such a fine building. Roden Hall is a very popular home with a strong reputation for providing excellent care. In addition to the fine building and conservatory, residents are able to enjoy the extensive grounds, which comprise a pleasant and tranquil combination of lawns and woodland.
The home offers a full range of residential and nursing care support, including trial stays, respite breaks and convalescent care as well as long term care. Residents are encouraged to bring important personal possessions to personalise their rooms. Roden Hall care & retirement home in Shropshire operates an open visiting policy, where residents and loved ones may visit at convenient times. Life in a Caring Home is viewed as a continuum of life – an opportunity to gain new experiences and learn new things – whilst maintaining your existing hobbies and interests.
At every Caring Home, there is a dedicated activities co-ordinator who is on hand to support residents in learning new hobbies and maintaining existing ones.
An activities programme is developed by the activities co-ordinators who work in conjunction with the clinical team in reviewing each individuals occupational interests and tailoring an activities programme that addresses them.

"My uncle has been in this home for 2 years. He is well looked after, seems happy, he says the food is good, some food he dislikes, he is able to order food he prefers, his day revolves around meal times and food, it is important he is able to choose. The room is kept clean, it is furnished to a high standard but it is value for money. The home in general is well kept, inside is clean and warm. There is no odour as there can be in some homes... carehomes.co.uk" - Grace J
"Friendly caring staff, the core of which has remained the same during the 5 years my mother-in-law has been resident. In my opinion a good sign if the staff are (give or take 1 or 2) still the same." - Lynne S
"My mother was cared for in Roden Hall for 3 years until sadly she passed away. She was given the ultimate in care, for which I am forever grateful. My mother saw Roden Hall as her home, which made me feel very contented. I continue to visit Roden Hall and the team of staff at various intervals during the year and always to celebrate my mother's birthday on 1st August. I always take cakes for the staff to show how grateful I am for my mother's care... carehomes.co.uk" - Elaine Millman
"Whilst my mother was in Roden Hall I was more than happy with all aspects of the care she received. My Mother was reluctant to enter a nursing home but she was happy at Roden and the care staff ensured she was made to feel so." - Sheila McDonald
