A Personal Touch
The wonderful surroundings at Benson House are matched by the standard of care our team brings residents. Your loved one’s time here is tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Because of this, residents are able to spend their time how they would like, whether that’s making their tea a certain way, to their daily routines.
We give as much independence as possible at our Benson care home, giving individuals the choice as to how to run the home. If they prefer dinner in front of the TV, or even dusting their own room, we’ll make it happen. Just as putting their own stamp on their rooms, we’ll help them to personalise it with the things they love, from photos to art, and beyond.

Meet the Manager
Find out more about Benson House’s Home Manager, Cathy DeocadezHere’s a little bit more about Benson House, in Cathy’s own words:
As the Home Manager, I believe in enhancing the lives of our residents and that they should be able to live the life they want. I enjoy taking on the responsibilities that come with managing a home and I encourage the inclusion of everyone in the home, to create a friendly environment and a great place for us all to live, work and visit.
I have been qualified as a licensed nurse since 1996 in the Philippines and a Registered Nurse in the UK since 2004 with me being a Senior Nurse for over 12 years. I am proud to have been promoted from Deputy Manager at Benson House to the new Home Manager and have the opportunity to support and develop the team at the home to create a culture where continuous learning is encouraged and valued.
I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team but to the residents and their relatives too as it is their home. I encourage residents to make their rooms their own, by bringing in personal items to help make them homely for them.
I am passionate about being able to support and develop my team and seeing team members grow in their roles at the home as I work with them to offer the best care and environment possible for our residents.
I have lived in Benson for over two years and our home has a strong connection with the local community, and this is something that I am proud of and want to develop further. My favourite aspect of the local area is the river that the home overlooks and the accessibility to Oxford Centre.
In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and I like to create new dishes while cooking for my family and friends.

You can book a viewing using the form above or by calling the home.

All members of our care team at our Benson care home are given the training and support needed to help them provide the highest standards of care.
Caring Homes has been providing care for over 29 years. Every team member receives our unique ‘Living in my World’ dementia training.
It highlights the importance of meaningful activities and a stimulating environment for people living with dementia, as well as addressing clinical aspects of care.
Our ‘Food in my World’ training provides the hospitality team and chefs with the skills and knowledge to stimulate senses and increase creativity in the cooking and presentation of food. This can provide a much-improved dining experience for residents living with dementia and or dysphagia.
The length of time people spend in a care home varies according to their needs and preferences. Our homes offer permanent care to suit your needs or perhaps a respite stay might be required during a period of convalescence after being in hospital. Day Care is also available at many homes to ensure care can continue when a regular carer is unavailable.
