Walstead Place helps Hilda celebrate her 93rd birthday

With Christmas just around the corner, the attention of everyone at Walstead Place turned this week to helping Hilda Curtis celebrate her 93rd birthday in style.

Hilda spent her special day with her son and spent time reminiscing about her life working as a midwife. Although she couldn’t remember exactly how many babies she had delivered during her career, she knew it was a fair few!

The staff at the Sussex home then presented Hilda with a birthday cake, which she enjoyed sharing with her close friends and family.

Located just a mile from Lindfield, Walstead Place is a 19th Century former country squire’s residence, sensitively converted to provide residential and nursing care for up to 41 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
