Thank you for the Music at Magna Care Centre

At Magna Care Centre in Wimborne, we hosted the singing duo ‘The Land Girls’ on November 22nd when they came in and entertained us with an Abba tribute session, which was a great success.

The duo provided a nostalgic trip down memory lane, offering sing-along fun ranging from Abba classics such as ‘The Winner Takes It All’, ‘Fernando’ and ‘Mama Mia’ with lots more in between.

The Land Girls were real ‘Dancing Queens’ with a rousing performance with everyone joining in by singing along, foot tapping as well as waving Swedish flags in time to the music.

Abba were such a big band in the 1970’s and were a familiar musical backdrop to many of our residents lives. Their memorable and catchy songs brought back a lot of memories for everyone and there were even a few tears of joy when our residents recollected great times they had with their families and friends. So it was a real case of ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ when they shared their stories with each other and our team.

It was such a fun, uplifting event that had our residents singing and smiling for hours afterwards so from all of us at Magna Care Centre, ‘Thank you for the Music!’
