Snowdrop poem by Dorothy at Hulcott

One of our residents, Dorothy at Hulcott Care Home with Nursing in Aylesbury, loves watching the garden and how it changes throughout the seasons.

As the garden is now starting to show signs of life that the brighter days of spring are on their way, she decided to pen a poem about the Snowdrops that have appeared and the other flowers starting to bloom:

Snowdrops are in bloom again

They come back every year

Telling us that spring has come

A lovely time of year

Pretty little snowdrops

Wave as if to say

Cheer up winter’s nearly over

Spring is on its way

Pretty little snowdrops

Peeping through the snow

Tell us spring is on its way

That’s why we love them so

Snowdrops now have been and gone

Crocuses are here

Telling us that spring has come

That lovely time of year
