Oaken Holt celebrates ‘Armed Forces Day’

A popular ‘Armed Forces Day’ was hosted by Oaken Holt care home in Oxfordshire this week.

The day was attended by many of the home’s residents, who enjoyed welcoming members of the Armed Forces and local school children, along with relative and friends for an afternoon of tasty treats and dancing to live music.

The day was just one example of a wide range of activities that form part of the recently launched Caring Homes ‘Living’ programme. The new initiative is a structured activities programme based around a ‘five a day’ approach of providing activities that always meet either social, emotional, cognitive, sensory or physical needs as part of the holistic program of care delivered at the home.

Set within 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands in the heart of Oxfordshire, Oaken Holt is a magnificent country estate offering residential and nursing care of the very highest standard for up to 55 discerning ladies and gentlemen.
