Mill House celebrate a double 90th Birthday Celebration Party

Residents and guests of Mill House in Chipping Camden, celebrated the Queen’s 90th Birthday in style this year with a Royal themed birthday party for this historic occasion.

The weather could not have been better for our party and we all gathered together in the sunshine.  The party was planned for 3pm and we had such a good response from friends and families with lots of relatives and friends joining us on the day.

Justinea Rose the singer looked stunning wearing red, white and blue and entertained us for an hour and a half. Everyone enjoyed her lovely voice so much that we asked her to stay for an extra half an hour!

The garden was decorated with flags and bunting and the atmosphere was unbelievable with lots of chatting, laughter and dancing.   Our team joined in with the festivities and danced ‘The Lambeth Walk’ while the residents waved their flags to the music.   To look even more festive, the ladies wore handmade crowns so everyone could be Queen for the day! The men also joined in and wore Union Jack hats.

Jon and Rob, our in-house Chefs prepared mouth-watering homemade treats such as; fresh strawberries and cream, scones and other cakes. Everyone also enjoyed Pimm’s and Lemonade in the sunshine.

One of our dear residents, Marion Ballantyne also turned 90 this year so it was an extra special occasion for us all and we celebrated her birthday in the garden with lots of her friends and family in attendance.  Marion kindly shared her Prosecco with the party, and we all sang Happy Birthday to the Queen and Marion.

Our new Home Manager, Kim Mulford enjoyed her first event at Mill House, joining us in the garden and it was great for everybody to meet and get to know her. She even had a little dance!

The party was perfect in every way and we are looking to our next event here at Mill House.
