Medieval merriment at Bradbury House banquet
The staff and residents of Bradbury House were transported back to the middle ages for a day recently in support of Parkinson’s UK.
The home’s medieval-themed day was held as part of the Caring Homes ‘Charitable Partnership’ initiative for 2013/14, whereby each of the 56 care homes across the group are working together to raise thousands of pounds for their two chosen charities, Parkinson’s UK and Diabetes UK.
The day began with several of the staff and residents hitting the streets to raise some money in the community, before heading back to the home for a well deserved medieval banquet. Family and friends joined their loved ones for the banquet, where the residents showed off the hats and goblets they had crafted in preparation, before everyone joined in a themed quiz led by resident Brian Fuller.
Located in the heart of the historic town of Braintree, Bradbury House enjoys an enviable reputation for delivering the very highest standard of residential care in a homely environment for up to 21 elderly people.
