Ivy Courts hosts mini Olympics

At Ivy Court Care Home in Norwich this week the residents took part in a mini Olympics! Watching the Olympics had really spurred on the residents and they were eager to be involved by holding their own.

Although we weren’t able to take part in the events being participated in Rio, we did hold four of our own sports which were set up in the gardens at Ivy Court for the residents to take part in if they wanted to. We had hook the duck, hoopla, tin-can alley and a bean bag throwing competition.

To celebrate the hard efforts put in by everyone we held a medal ceremony at the end of the day, where everybody was presented with a medal.

Well done to everyone that took part!

Ivy Court provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment for up to 71 elderly people.
