Forth Bay meet the Locals in Forth

The residents from Forth Bay Nursing Home in Forth, have been enjoying regular trips to their local public house.

“The Bridge Bar” in Kincardine, which is within easy walking distance of Forth Bay, has recently been refurbished and made wheelchair friendly.  So as a regular treat, the residents from Forth Bay now go along to the pub for soup, sandwiches and a sing along with one of the regular entertainers at the pub which they particularly enjoy.

The residents look forward to visiting the pub, mixing with the locals, singing and of course enjoying a wee dram!

At Forth Bay we find this type of activity particularly beneficial to the residents because they get to experience a different environment and atmosphere, we all like to get out and about and they are no different. Meeting new people also helps build their confidence and it is all in a fun environment which they may have enjoyed in the past.

Forth Bay provides specialist nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment for up to 53 elderly people.
