East Hill House sign up for local Late Night Shopping event

The staff and residents of East Hill House are always keen to get involved with community events and this month, they took charge of a festive stall at the popular Liss Late Night Shopping evening.

Everyone worked hard in preparation for the event, creating crafted wreaths and bagging up sweets to sell to local residents. Whilst the staff manned the stall, one of the residents braved the cold and took time to explore the other stalls, armed hot chocolate and a nip of sherry to keep her warm!

All of the visitors to the stall remarked on the lovely handmade goods and the evening proved an overwhelming success, with the enthusiastic staff team managing to sell ten of the 14 wreaths and raise £150 towards the residents fund. This was helped by a generous donation of £100 by one relative for his wreath in appreciation for the excellent work done by East Hill House in caring for his Aunt and her fellow residents.

Located in the village of Liss, East Hill House provides high quality residential and specialist dementia care for up to 35 elderly people in a unique setting.
