Dormy House Friendship cafe

Dormy House held their first ‘Friendship café’ last week, which will be held on the last Wednesday of every month with guest speakers.

Attendees enjoyed a selection of cakes made by a number of people including the local church, the Sacred Heart, and our very own cake with ‘Friendship café’ written on it to celebrate our first event.

On the day we raised £105 for Macmillan and a further £95 on the Friday when we held our official Macmillan coffee morning. We had a reasonable turnout on the day despite the weather and it being the first one.  The next ‘Friendship cafe will be held on Wednesday 30th October with guest speakers Sheila Jasper and Paul Bye who will cover different aspects of finance such as Power of Attorney.
