Cranmer Court Memorial Service

On Saturday 31st October Cranmer Court held their annual Memorial Service. Families and friends of residents who have died within the past year were invited to come back to Cranmer Court to remember their loved ones. There was an emotional Service of Remembrance led by Mark Lanyon, with readings from Elizabeth Lanyon of St. Mary’s Church, Warlingham, and Norah Davey, Home Manager of Cranmer Court. During the service there was time to reflect, and Norah read a list of the names of all those who had spent their final days in the care of Cranmer Court during the last year.

Following the Service of Remembrance there was afternoon tea, which provided an opportunity for those who had attended to catch up with members of staff as well as other residents and relatives who they had become friends with during their time visiting Cranmer Court. The afternoon ended on a jovial note, with many stories of the lives of those who we were remembering.
