Coppice Lea take a trip to Haskins garden centre

The residents from Coppice Lea in Mertsham took a trip to Haskins garden centre in Copthorne this week.

The residents visited the garden centre to choose winter pansy’s to spruce up the pots and baskets at the main door of the home. The residents worked together during their garden club to repot and relocate the pots and baskets.

Gardening is a healthy and stimulating activity for the residents at Coppice Lea, its gives them a chance to continue with activities they enjoyed where they previously lived. It also helps make residents feel like they are at home, taking pride in the gardens and Coppice Lea, and adding their own stamp. It provides physical activity, and maintains mobility and flexibility.

The residents felt a huge sense of pride and achievement once they saw how it finally looked, and it also provided lots of discussion over the weeks about what they wanted to plant and where things should go.

Thank you all for your hard work and the great results. Well done!
