Christmas spirit at Gildawood

There is nothing like getting in the Christmas spirit early and at Gildawood Court care home in Nuneaton held our Christmas fete.

Thanks to our residents families and the care team for donating so many wonderful raffle and tombola prizes we managed to raise £268.00 which Vanessa and Fiona are so pleased about. Refreshments including homemade cakes and mince pies (which were also donated) were also on sale for all of our visitors. The refreshment stall was run by some of our wonderful kitchen staff and relatives and colleagues were happy to help on the stalls getting everyone into the festive spirit.

Everyone who was asked said they really enjoyed the afternoon; it was full of cheer, happiness and Christmas spirit with Christmas tunes playing in the background.

Some of the families brought their loved ones to day care and joined us for a cup of tea and a slice of cake and had a few goes on the tombola or raffle. Vanessa was really excited when she won 2nd prize (A hamper full of chocolate just in time for Christmas YUM!

Many more activities will be taking place over the festive period which we are all looking forward too! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
