Christmas party and Christmas wishes at Marchglen

Marchglen Care Centre in Alloa enjoyed their Christmas Party this week. Residents enjoyed the Christmas party which included entertainment and a big buffet.¬† Residents and staff were up singing on the karaoke with entertainer Wayne Morrison – Wayne is a favourite here and will be back in the new year ūüėČ

Rhianan, Activities Coordinator at Marchglen, has organised an activity for residents this month called ‘Residents Wishes 2018’. Residents all make a wish for 2018, eiher a place they want to go, something they want to do or someone they want to see.¬† We had a great response from this with some wishes being as simple as a shopping trip or ice skating in their wheelchairs to concerts or shows in the city.¬† Some of these wishes are already planned for early 2018 with the aim to again have all wishes completed over the year.

Marchglen provides nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 36 people in four small homes within the grounds. Each home provides different types of care and support including physical disabilities, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours in both young adults and elderly.
