Christmas Baking at Galsworthy

Galsworthy House care home with nursing residents were treated to a cake decorating session today.

Chef Dan gave us a few tips on how to make the marzipan and icing ‘nice and smooth and even’. Residents watched and tried the techniques that they can try out on cakes next year in a baking session.

Residents then made snowballs to decorate the cake, with some residents sharing their memories of Christmas cakes and puddings they have made in the past, thinking about how they were decorated and the ingredients used to make them.
