A time capsule is being created at Beechwood
Beechwood Park has many activities planned this month, to begin with they’ve taken up the challenge to create a time capsule for the home. A time capsule is a cache of goods that holds historical records or objects that represent current culture, with the purpose to preserve it and be a deliberate method of communication with future people. Everybody at Beechwood Park hopes that the community can learn what it was like for people to have lived and worked during recent times.
Now they have not selected a specific date nor place to bury it, but when decided, everybody will be informed.
Other fun things have happened at Beechwood, music is one of them. John Black entertained residents and staff on the fresh evening of April 11th. They all had a chance to listen to some good music and dance to the tunes. It was a fun evening as they all seem overjoyed and in happy mood.
Among other activities at Beechwood a raffle took place. Tickets were sold at £1 per strip and all the money collected went to the residents’ funds. There were nine prizes including Easter eggs, rose wine, Cadbury crème egg gin liqueur and cuddly toys. They were able to raise over £150 pounds and the main price went to Issy Smith.
Beechwood Park is very grateful to those who participated in the raffle and to the community for their ongoing support. They, the residents, and staff fell truly appreciated.
