Walstead Place residents join in ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’

The residents of Walstead Place in Lindfield welcomed friends and relatives this week as they took part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ organised in aid of the national charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

The highlight of the day was a ‘name the dog’ competition, which was won by Walstead’s own chef, Odge Madron.

Macmillan Cancer Support works hard to provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support available to those living with cancer and their loved ones. According to Macmillan, the £56 raised by Walstead Place could pay for could buy a crucial liquidiser for someone who can’t eat solid food as a result of their cancer treatment.

Located just a mile from Lindfield, Walstead Place provides residential and nursing care for up to 41 elderly ladies and gentlemen.
