‘Tickled Pink Productions’ entertain Ivy Court

Tickled Pink Productions joined the residents at Ivy Court in Norwich this week for a fun filled Christmas activity morning.

The residents, relatives and care team gathered together in one of the lounges at Ivy Court as they were all treated a performance of ‘Tickled Pinks Christmas Musical’.

The performance was about a young couple meeting each other parents for the first time and the worries and excitement this terrifying time in your life can bring! How were they were going to do it? The actors played a number of parts each which kept us all on our toes, but the costumes helped us out. The young man played Rudolph, Elvis and Santa, whilst the lady played a princess, German lady and Mrs Santa. The residents, relatives and care team all thoroughly enjoyed the story.

As part of the production the residents enjoyed singing along to Christmas hits such as ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘Silent Night’ and ‘White Christmas’ during the performance. The audience got involved with the show as they were given parts to sing in the song ’12 Days of Christmas’.

The production was great for the relatives and residents, it gave them a chance to sit and enjoy some time together. The feedback from the performance was very positive, everyone really enjoyed it and said they had to be booked again!

Ivy Court provides specialist residential, nursing and dementia care in a purpose built environment for up to 71 elderly people.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
