Rendlesham Celebrate Mothers Day

It was Mother’s Day one again, and at Rendlesham Care Centre we celebrated this with flowers, cake and tea!

The ladies were very happy with their little pot of flowers and they said the cake was just delicious. We chatted over our tea and cake all about mother’s day and how it has become a big occasion now, as years ago this wouldn’t have been.

We also talked about the year it first began. It was in 1908 when a Lady Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton West Virginia, and has been celebrated since .
