Parent and Toddler group at Claydon House

Friday mornings at Claydon House in Lewes are filled with giggles, laughter and squeals of delight.

There is always a lot of tea, coffee, cake and chatter as we host our weekly Parent and child group every Friday from 10.30am – 12 noon, and everyone is welcome.

Our youngest member is just 8 weeks old and our oldest 96 years old but age is no barrier as we share stories about bringing up children, receive many hugs and cuddles and join in a wide variety of activities together.

We were recently entertained by a team from Moving Sounds who delighted us all with music, bubbles and song. Moving sounds runs music for dementia workshops throughout Lewes, music has hugely beneficial effects for those experiencing dementia and also for the children as they join in together.

At Claydon House we provide residential, nursing and dementia care. We continuously improve the lives of our residents through offering wide ranging services, activities and events, both in and outside of the home involving members of our local community as often as possible.
