Nessie entertains at Oaken Holt

‘Nessie’ the tortoise took centre stage at Oaken Holt this week as the Oxfordshire home hosted its pet day.

Nessie, who belongs to Activities Coordinator Erin, is a whopping 55 years old and named after the Loch Ness monster, harking back to his Scottish heritage.

Whilst some of the residents were a little reluctant about the way his head went in and out of his shell, Arthur (pictured) much enjoyed meeting the characterful creature.

Set within 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands in the heart of Oxfordshire, Oaken Holt is a magnificent country estate in the peaceful village of Farmoor offering residential and nursing care of the very highest standard for up to 55 ladies and gentlemen.
