More Inspection Celebrations at Mount Pleasant

The team at Mount Pleasant Care Home had reason for double celebrations this month as they received the thumbs up in not one, but two recent inspections.

The chef team took the limelight earlier in the month as the kitchen received 5 stars in their Environmental Health inspection for the third consecutive year. This area was also highlighted in the home’s latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, with residents commenting on the ‘excellent’ food at the Winshill-based care home.

The second reason for the celebrations was the CQC inspection itself, which assessed how well the home treats people with respect, quality of care provision, safeguarding and safety, staffing and management of the service. The home has achieved the highest possible levels of care delivery having met or exceeded the required standards in all of the above areas.

As part of the process, CQC inspectors spoke to residents, relatives and members of staff. The home demonstrated full compliance in all areas with special mention made of the personalised care plans and the polite and respectful care staff.

Mount Pleasant Manager, Anne-Marie Robinson commented:

‘These results are testament to a lot of hard work from all of the staff here at Mount Pleasant. It has been a real team effort and reflects their positive approach and attitude to the care they provide – I am so proud of everyone involved.

We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of care to all of our residents and it is wonderful to have this recognised in such a positive way.’

Located on the edge of Burton-on-Trent, Mount Pleasant is a modern purpose-built care home providing residential and specialist dementia care for up to 50 elderly people.
