Magna Care Centre supporting Jeans for Gene’s Day

Magna Care Centre in Wimborne, Dorset will be supporting Genetic Disorders UK by holding a Jeans for Genes Day, wearing jeans and changing lives on Friday, 22nd September.

Jeans for Genes Day is the annual fundraising campaign for Genetic Disorders UK, the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by a genetic disorder.

Home manager Teresa Freeman said;

“Members of our team will wear jeans as part of their uniforms on this day and by making a small donation will help to fund the vital care and support services that Genetic Disorders UK provides.”

“At Magna Care Centre we are always keen to get involved in fundraising events for charity and we are looking forward to raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”

Magna Care Centre are proud to be supporting a worthwhile organisation such as Genetic Disorders UK. People all over the UK will be holding their own Jeans for Genes Day and monies raised will help provide grants to organisations for projects that aim to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders and help provide day-to-day support, equipment, nursing and patient support services, and events which bring together affected children and their families. Find out more…

Magna Care Centre in Wimborne is a stunning care centre providing residential and specialist nursing care for up to 63 elderly residents. At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.
