Macmillan coffee morning at Home of Compassion

The residents at Home of Compassion in Thames Ditton, Surrey, opened the doors to support Macmillan Cancer Care with a coffee morning.

It was a great success with around 20 visitors turning up on the day, all the residents joined in too. The chef at Home of Compassion baked a lovely range of cakes and savory treats for the day to help with the fundraising, and some family members also brought along donations.

We had a raffle and a guess how many spots on the cake competition which helped us raise over £260!

These days are great for the residents at Home of Compassion as it brings them together with friends, family and the local community providing them with a sense of belonging and with the addition of raising money provides as sense of accomplishment and self worth, giving back to the community.

Thank you to everyone who came along on the day for this great cause.
