Hulcott hosts ‘biggest fundraiser yet’

The staff and residents of Hulcott hosted their biggest annual fundraiser yet on Saturday, raising £590 towards their residents fund in the process.

Entertainer Mike Gee, a regular at the fundraisers, performed a colourful music and comedy routine, which was enjoyed by everybody. Cake sales and material stands also kept everyone busy throughout the day, with a raffle and auction wrapping things up.

Hulcott Manager Margaret Smart said:

‘It was a marvellous day! We were blessed with really good weather and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are very grateful to all those who supported today’s event. The money raised will be put towards a variety of trips and activities in the coming twelve months.’

Located in the peaceful village of the same name, Hulcott is a 19th century house that has been sympathetically converted and extended to provide residential and specialist nursing care for up to 38 elderly ladies and gentlemen. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
