Home of Compassion working with Local Carers Charity
The team at Home of Compassion are working with local charity Crossroads Carers Surrey during Carers Week. Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring. It also highlights the challenges unpaid carers face and recognises the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
Crossroads Care Surrey are a registered charity that puts the unpaid carer at the heart of everything they do. They provide professional support services across Surrey for unpaid carers in the home and community. They also work with local employers to help them understand the needs of their employees who balance caring with work.
The charity offer support to unpaid carers through care replacement breaks, end of life care and emergency care planning. It also offers businesses an Employers Charter including training, to help you support unpaid carers in your employment.
