At Home of Compassion we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.

Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

Wine Tasting

Date: Wednesday 30 November

Time: From 2.30pm

Fancy yourself as a wine connoisseur?

For a truly tastebud tingling experience, join us at the luxurious Home of Compassion for our deluxe Wine Tasting event, kindly being supported by Laithwaites Wines. There will be a selection of wines to sample giving everyone the chance to showcase their wine knowledge or simply learn a little more from our experts. Set within a unique setting on the southern bank of the river Thames and overlooking the grounds of Hampton Court, our 18th Century Grade II* listed mansion will provide our guests with an experience to remember.

Festive Fayre

Location: Hampton Court

Dates: 2nd - 4th December 2022

A delicious festive weekend, set in palace courtyards and grounds. Hampton Court Palace courtyards will be transformed into a food-lover's Christmas wonderland full of artisan food and drink, as well as perfect gifts to pick up for loved ones.

Place of light

Location: Hampton Court

Dates: 7th December 2022 - 2nd January 2023

Enchanting festive lantern and light experience at Hampton Court Palace. Encounter curious creatures, from glittering unicorns to polka-dot panthers and from lurking lions to galloping greyhounds, as you wander through the gardens and historic palace courtyards after dark.

Hampton Court Ice Rink

Location: Hampton Park

Dates: 17th November 2022 - 8th January 2023

Wrap up warm, get together with your friends or family and take in the views of Hampton Court Palace, as you glide around the outdoor ice rink. Skate under the stars with your loved ones or make magical memories on a day out with the kids.

Christmas at Kew

Location: Kew Gardens

Dates: 16th November 2022 - 8th January 2023

Enjoy our annual after-dark festivities with family and friends, as you discover sparkling tunnels of light, dancing lakeside reflections, and trees drenched in jewel-like colour. Journey through the flickering flames in the fire garden, spot larger-than-life illuminations and say hello to Father Christmas along the way. Along the route, Kew's independent street food vendors will offer festive food, from hot food and sweet treats to spiced winter warmers and hot chocolate.

Kingston Christmas Market

Location: Kingston Ancient Market Place

Dates: 10th November - 24th December 2022

Kingston's traditional Christmas Market encapsulates the town centre in glittering festive cheer. The market stalls are housed in wooden cabins selling festive treats for all the family to enjoy, from hand-crafted gift ware to spiced mulled wine and specialist hot foods.
