Farmyard Fun at Deer Park View

A host of farm animals were invited to make the gardens of Deer Park View their home for the day this week, enabling the residents to get up close and personal with them.

Sarah and Tom from ‘Mill Cottage Farm Experience’ arrived with a wonderful selection of tame farm animals for the residents to enjoy. In addition to a donkey, sheep, goats, chickens, geese and rabbits, they also showed residents an old fashioned spinning wheel and demonstrated how it was used to spin yarn.

The animals were a great success; equally enjoyed by residents, relatives and staff, with everyone learning something new about the interesting animals.

Located opposite the magnificent Bushy Royal Park at the heart of Teddington, Deer Park View provides residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 60 elderly people.
