Easter extravaganza at Bradbury House

Bradbury House hosted a weekend full of festive fun to celebrate Easter this year.

The Braintree care home was transformed as the residents used one of their regular art and craft sessions to create wall decorations and a colourful ‘Easter Tree.’

The weekend began on Good Friday with residents making a number of traditional bonnets for a competition judged by Bradbury resident, Brian, with the winners receiving Easter eggs as prizes. For anyone not winning, there was an extra Easter egg hunt, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to win.

Along with all of the chocolate, the weekend was full of food favourites, including prawns, smoked salmon and a traditional Sunday lunch of roast lamb. All of the food was worked off however as an Easter afternoon of singing, dancing and games was put on.

Located in the heart of the historic town of Braintree, Bradbury House was the very first home in the Caring Homes family. The home dates in part from the 17th century and, following a comprehensive and sympathetic conversion, retains many original features whilst providing an outstanding residential care setting. Bradbury House enjoys an enviable reputation for delivering the very highest standard of residential care in a homely environment for up to 21 elderly people.
