Easter Celebrations at Cedar House

The staff and residents of Cedar House did their best to brighten up an unseasonably cold Good Friday this year.

The interior of the period property was awash with yellow as residents welcomed their friends and relatives for the festive fun day. In keeping with the theme, everyone wore yellow for a host of games and activities.

The raffle raised over £70, which is to be put towards inviting a theatre group to the home in May for a special ‘Wild Wild West’ performance. Staff and residents also brought along pictures of when they were much younger and everyone attempted identify the pictures. The winners of the competition were resident Vera and her daughter Ronnie, who correctly guessed 8 out of the 10 pictures.

Located in the quiet village of Yelverton, Cedar House retirement home provides nursing care for up to 24 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
