Dementia Friendly High Street Launch

A resident from East Hill House recently supported the launch of a community project that aims to put dementia at its core.

The town’s mayor, Councillor Graham Hill, and health and social care professionals attended the Dementia Friendly High Street Launch at Alton Community Centre, with staff from East Hill House and resident, Ray, also supporting the launch.

Ray enjoyed listening to a music session and talking to the mayor about the town’s aim to be ‘dementia friendly.’ Following the event, the staff and Ray made the most of the beautiful weather, enjoying an alfresco lunch in a local pub garden.

Located in the village of Liss, East Hill House provides high quality residential and specialist dementia care for up to 35 elderly people in a unique setting.
