Caring Homes Campaign Puts Nursing Care In The Spotlight

13th January 2025

We are proud to begin 2025 with a campaign that celebrates our outstanding nursing care team and their invaluable contribution to the lives of our residents at Caring Homes.

The campaign launched on Monday 13th January and features a series of events being held across 16 of our UK nursing homes and care homes.

Our New Nursing Care Website Section

As part of our new campaign, we have created a new section for our website detailing the nursing care available at Caring Homes. This section explains how our qualified nurses support our residents and their families through stories, videos and FAQs. These resources allow our nurses, residents, and their family and friends to share their experiences at Caring Homes.

Filming for the new nursing care section took place at Laverstock Care Centre in Salisbury, Parris Lawn Care Home in Lewes, and Homefield Grange Care Home in Christchurch. These videos allowed our nurses, residents, and their families to openly share their stories and share the support they feel. The short films show the strong bond between the Caring Homes team and our residents, and you can watch all three here.

Campaign Events at Caring Homes

All 16 of our care homes are bringing the nursing care campaign to life by hosting events and activities under the banner, ‘Keeping Healthy in Older Age’.

These events and activities give members of the public a chance to meet our qualified nurses and find out more about the care provided in our nursing care homes. Our homes are participating in these events in many different ways, such as offering free blood pressure checks, healthy drinks and snacks, and information about nutrition, hydration, and oral health for the elderly, as well as the chance to join a seated exercise class or experience holistic relaxation treatments.

You can find all the details of specific events at each of our 16 participating care homes on their individual pages below:

Why Our Qualified Nurses Are an Integral Part of Our Residents’ Care

Our Caring Homes’ Clinical Director, Frank Cummins, describes himself as “nurse first, director second” and is a proud ambassador for nursing care at Caring Homes, which is personalised to suit each resident’s needs and wishes:

“Getting to know not only the residents, but also their family and friends, is collaborative working at its very best - something that is second nature to our nurses, who also understand the need to maintain our residents’ dignity and respect. There are skilled, qualified nurses on duty in our UK nursing homes 24/7, and this campaign is designed to give greater insight into why they are so crucial in enabling every resident to live their own life with purpose, happiness, and independence”.
