Bradbury House residents head to the Blackwater Estuary

Several of the residents of Bradbury House managed to squeeze in a trip to the seaside this week before the bleak Bank Holiday weather set in.

The group of five residents headed for nearby Maldon, a historic town on the Blackwater estuary in Essex, where they enjoyed a fish and chip meal, ice creams and a stroll along the promenade.

A highlight of the day was watching children playing in the water park and meeting the many dogs who were enjoying their walk, with one taking a particular liking to resident Blodwin Carter and jumping up to sit on her lap.

Situated at the heart of the historic town of Braintree, Bradbury House was the very first home in the Caring Homes family and enjoys an enviable reputation for delivering the very highest standard of residential care in a homely environment for up to 21 elderly people.
