Bake off Challenge with Paul and Mary at Mill House

At Mill House care home in Chipping Campden, we were delighted when Paul and Mary held a ‘Great Bake Off’ competition this week at our regular Coffee Morning.

Our Cookery Club is a popular activity at the home where our residents prepare and cook a wide range of delights and treats from cookies to cakes. We are also happy to welcome guests and relatives to come and join us too and we are always looking for new recipe ideas.

With this in mind, Paul and Mary, our two Activities Coordinators (yes they are really called Paul and Mary!) could not resist taking on the challenge made famous in the TV programme, ‘Great British Bake Off’ competition.

Both Paul and Mary put on their Chef hats, cooked up a storm, baking lots of delicious cookies and our residents, team and guests all came together to judge their culinary efforts.

After much debate, and lots of cookie eating, after all you can only judge properly if you sample lots of scrummy cookies, Paul was voted the winner… but Mary wants to take the Cookie Crown and is already planning round two!

Come back and check out our news stories and follow Paul and Mary’s antics with the Mill House Bake Off Challenge.
