Autumn activities at Oaken Holt

Oaken Holt’s autumn activities programme is now in full swing, with the residents enjoying a variety of activities and events at the Oxfordshire home. The home welcomed its local church minister for the main event of the month as he gave a special service to celebrate their annual harvest festival. Outside meanwhile, the sweet peas and dahlias continue to grow well and as part of nature month, residents have been taking it in turns to water the plants and track their progress. Finally, Oaken Holt’s book club is proving a huge success with the group currently reading ‘A Daughter’s Tale’ – the memoirs of Winston Churchill’s youngest daughter, which always sparks conversation and debate. Set within 23 acres of beautiful gardens and parklands in the heart of Oxfordshire, Oaken Holt is a magnificent country estate in the peaceful village of Farmoor offering residential and nursing care of the very highest standard for up to 55 ladies and gentlemen.
