Coppice Lea have a visit from Cranmer Court

The residents at Coppice Lea in Mertsham, were visited by the residents from Cranmer Court this week.

Everyone enjoyed a fun filled afternoon with entertainment from Denny and an afternoon tea party. The residents spent no time at all getting together to dance and sing along to Denny.

The power of music, especially singing, to unlock memories and kickstart the grey matter is an increasingly key feature of care. Denny really lifted the mood of the residents, providing reminiscence of their younger years with his old songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior and Humphrey Bogart.

Cranmer Court visiting Coppice lea provided a great opportunity for the residents from both homes to talk and catch up with what they have been doing recently over afternoon tea, as many have struck up friendships over the years.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
