Wishing Carolyn a farewell at Marchglen

The residents at Marchglen in Fishcross have been doing lots of activities and outings this month. Some of our residents had requested to go and see the Dreamboys at the Albert Hall in Stirling. The ladies said the show was brilliant and even enjoyed some alcoholic beverages. They have asked to return to see them again when they tour central Scotland.

One of our first residents Carolyn is moving out of Marchglen and getting her own accommodation nearer to her mother. We held Carolyn a leaving party so she could have a gathering with all of the friends she has made over the years and also the team. Everybody had a wonderful time and there was plenty of singing and dancing. We shall most definitely miss her here at Marchglen.

Residents June and Andrew asked to have a trip to Dobbie’s garden centre so they could buy some new plants and a tree for their gardens. They had a lovely afternoon out and enjoyed some lunch at the garden centre. Both residents are looking forward to putting their plants and trees in their gardens.

Marchglen provides nursing care in a purpose built environment for up to 36 people in four small homes within the grounds. Each home provides different types of care and support including physical disabilities, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours in both young adults and elderly.
