Welcome Visit for Walstead Place Resident
Managing Director Tracey Fletcher-Ray explained, “We absolutely understand how challenging it has felt for our residents to be apart physically from their visitors these past months as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and will be doing all that we can to enable safe and regular visits both indoors and outdoors from now on.
“The joy of seeing relatives and friends spend treasured time with loved ones has always been central to life in our Homes. Visits now may well feel different due to the continued restrictions placed upon us all. The tests and procedures are necessary to help prevent the further spread and transmission of the virus and we know that our relatives and friends will support us by doing all they can to keep everyone safe as they visit with their loved ones.”
At Caring Homes we're doing everything we can to keep our residents, their families and our colleagues safe. We're open for safe admissions, managing visits and routinely testing everyone.
Visitors are required to have a Covid test and to wear PPE for the visit and named visitors are able to sit in the same room as their loved one and hold hands.
We have strict Infection Control Assurance measures in place to safeguard our residents, colleagues and all visiting professionals. Weekly testing of all colleagues and monthly testing of all residents is being carried out as per current government guidance. New residents benefit from a personalised wellbeing plan during their initial 7-14 days and we welcome named visitors to help them settle in.
