Walstead Place welcomes Head Chef with news of first class hygiene rating
It was all smiles at Walstead Place care home this week as the Lindfield home was once again awarded 5 out of 5 in their latest Food Standards Agency inspection.

The assessors declared the kitchens were fantastic, both in cleanliness and commitment to hygiene, meaning that Emma and her team can continue to prepare nutritious, quality meals for everyone to enjoy.

The news came at an exciting time for the kitchen team, who also welcomed a talented new chef to the team this week. Emma Horlock joins the staff team as Head Chef. Having worked in catering for over two decades, Emma has grown to master her trade both in fine dining and large banquet cooking. Emma is passionate about implementing innovative and attractive dining experiences for the 41 residents of Walstead Place and their visitors.

Situated close to the village of Lindfield, Walstead Place is a 19th Century residence providing residential and nursing care for up to 41 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
