Walstead Place scoops second place in ‘Strictly Come Gardening’

The residents of Walstead Place were thrilled to scoop second place this week in the local competition ‘Strictly Come Gardening’.

The popular local event is organised by Haywards Heath Council and aimed at bringing the community together. As such, the home was given a small grant and some materials to make a mosaic that represented Walstead Place, which was judged on 10th May in the local shopping mall.

Walstead Place was also provided with plants for the new sensory garden, which have proved popular with the residents, particularly the raised beds that allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy gardening.
Situated close to the village of Lindfield, Walstead Place is a 19th Century residence providing residential and nursing care for up to 41 elderly people.
