Walstead Place fundraise for Children in Need

Walstead Place recently joined in fundraising efforts for Children in Need on Friday 18th November.

BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK corporate charity and thanks to support of the public, such as ourselves, they are able to make a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK.

With this in mind, our team decided to come into work in their pyjamas to which all paid £2 for the privilege. We also held a sponsored silence; Kieron our Kitchen Porter stayed silent all day coming up with some very ingenious ways to communicate. We also had a homemade Pudsey cousin cake which we took turns in guessing his name. This was won by Jade with the name Prince.

All in all we had a fantastic day and we are delighted to announce we raised £150 for Children in Need which is fabulous.

At Walstead Place we are very proud to support worthwhile causes such as Children in Need and to help those less fortunate than ourselves. They provide grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged and help empower children and extend their life choices.
