Vintage Tea Party at Coxhill Manor

We had our Vintage themed tea party here at Coxhill Manor in Woking, Surrey on Wednesday 21st September.

Our Chefs, Richard, Rob and Monica prepared exquisite platters of traditional sandwiches and cakes enjoyed by our residents and visiting friends and families. We were very lucky with the weather and a number of our residents chose to enjoy the tea party in the garden while others preferred to remain in the dining room.

It was a lovely atmosphere with bunting and best china adding the final touches, along with the beautiful flower arrangements on the tables that some of our residents had prepared in the morning with the help of Julia from Activities. Our residents made an extra effort for the occasion and they all looked very glam!

Vintage singer Kitty McKenzie entertained us all throughout the tea party, performing classics ranging from the 1920’s to the 1960 from upbeat swing numbers to cool sweet ballads. Kitty has such a good rapport with our residents and has the magical quality of making each and every resident feel special. She is definitely a Coxhill favourite!

It is lovely to have friends and families of residents join us for these occasions. It allows us as staff to build upon existing relationships with families, and enables residents to share their life at Coxhill Manor with their loved ones. A lovely time was had by all, and the day finished with traditional board games being played in the conservatory.
