Once upon a time at Hulcott

Once upon a time in a faraway land, or rather Hulcott Nursing Home in Aylesbury, residents, friends and members of our team enjoyed a pantomime performance when we were treated to a fantastic Cinderella show.

The fabulous show was performed amazingly by only three actors who kept us entertained with a variety of music, jokes and traditional panto fun throughout the colourful performance. It was a case of “He’s behind you” and “Oh, yes she is!” with everyone getting in the spirit laughing and singing along as well as some booing and cheering. It is panto after all!

Quoting a line from this panto; ‘Where there is kindness, there is goodness and where there is goodness there is magic’ and for all of us at Hulcott we truly experienced these elements and definitely some magic was in the air on this special day.

Christmas is not complete without a panto and it was great to retain this lovely tradition with our residents reminiscing about the pantos they saw and experienced with their own families and friends. Not only did it bring some very happy memories but we created some new ones and it was great to have more festive fun at Hulcott. It really felt as if we were at the theatre but all within the comfort of our home. Oh yes it did!

Hulcott Nursing Home provides the highest standards of specialist nursing and residential care for up to 38 elderly people.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
