The Dogs Take Centre Stage At Huntercombe

Following on from the recent canine success on Britain’s Got Talent, residents and staff of local care home Huntercombe Hall in Nuffield were treated to an exhibition of daring dogs as the local ‘Goring Growlers’ performed a Dog Agility Display show in the home’s garden.

The display featured a variety of breeds of all shapes and sizes, with Border Terriers alongside Trail Hounds. The show proved very interactive with all the spectators living every hoop, jump and see-saw with the dogs.

Huntercombe Activities Coordinator, Debbie Bennett said:

“The display made for a great spectacle which everyone enjoyed. The nice weather ensured we could all watch up close from the patio. The dogs were very well behaved both on and off the course and the residents love spending time with animals so this activity was a big hit. We will definitely do something similar in the future. ”

Daphne Brown, the show organiser added:

“We always enjoy doing displays at homes such as Huntercombe as the residents love spending time with the dogs afterwards and spoiling them with treats.”

Huntercombe Hall is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery. The home provides residential care, nursing care and specialist dementia care for up to 42 elderly residents in the charming village of Nuffield, close to the market town of Wallingford.
