Tall Trees sponsors Shipton-under-Wychwood Cricket Club

Residents and the team at Tall Trees care home in the beautiful village of Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire, are eagerly awaiting the start of the season after sponsoring their neighbours at the local cricket club.

The gardens at Tall Trees, a care home run by Caring Homes and providing personalised nursing, residential and dementia care for up to 60 residents, adjoin the thriving village club.

Club chairman Russell Hayes and vice chairman Ian Lewis visited the care home this week and accepted a sponsorship banner to be displayed at the cricket ground and show the care home’s support for the club.

Mr Hayes explained that when Tall Trees was built some land was given to the cricket club to enable them to have a second cricket ground in the village so it was fitting that the two organisations are working together again now with the club sponsorship.

“We are extremely grateful to Tall Trees for their sponsorship and delighted to be furthering this valuable relationship with our neighbours and members of the village community,” he said.

Mr Lewis added that residents of the care home could easily watch the regular cricket matches from picnic tables in their own grounds, overlooking the club. Tall Trees residents and staff are also regular guests at the club for the village firework display, a well-attended community event in Shipton-under-Wychwood.

Home manager Michelle Little said;
“Tall Trees is proud to be part of the village community and pleased to be sponsoring our neighbours at the cricket club. We are looking forward to the start of the cricket season and wish the club the best of luck.”

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
To Whom it may concern,

RE: A message from the CEO and Clinical Director

At Caring Homes we are following the latest Government advice and stopping visitors to all our homes, except for essential visits by healthcare professionals who will be required to adhere to strict protocols.

We understand that this may be very difficult for families but we are clear in our duty to ensure we protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our Residents and Colleagues as our top priority.

We want you to know that you can contact your loved ones through calls, emails, video and social media and we will support our Residents to view any messages you send over. We are confident that the teams in our homes are doing all they can to ensure that life remains as comfortable and sociable as possible. There will be a full programme of activities delivered by our in-house health and wellbeing teams.

We hope you will understand and support these actions and any further subsequent measures we might need to put in place.

Yours sincerely
