Sundridge visit Greenwich for the day

The residents from Sundridge Court in Bromley, took a trip to Greenwich for the day this week.

Exploring the undercover stalls and shops in Greenwich Market looking at the unique and quirky arts and crafts stalls and the food stalls the residents commented on how art has changed over the years and some of the strange styles that we see around these days. The food stalls brought back memories with the smells and some new sights of foods they had not tried before. The window of Mr Humbug, a traditional sweet shop reminded our residents of the old shops they used to go to as children, comparing the cost of a bag of sweets these days and their old favourites.

We later took a trip into Greenwich Park, looking over the beautiful views and taking in the fresh air. We watched the children playing in the playground and looked out for deer stalking the park, then taking a walk over to the boating pond to watch the boats on the beautiful sunny day.

Everyone came back feeling happy and refreshed, ” It was lovely to go out” said one of the residents on her return.
