Sundridge Court chef shortlisted for top award

Sundridge Court chef Vydya Domah was shortlisted for the Care Chef of the Year title at the Caring Homes Group Recognition Awards.

With more than 5,500 employees across the group Vydya beat the competition to be shortlisted as one of the group’s chefs of the year.

The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony hosted at the Grove Hotel in Watford and presented by musician and singer Ronan Keating.

Located in the attractive Sundridge Park residential area, Sundridge Court nursing home in Bromley provides residential and nursing care of the very highest standard for up to 27 elderly people.

Following a review of over 3,000 nominations received from colleagues and people supported for the awards, Lorraine was shortlisted to be given the top chef award.

The judges shared the views of one nomination which stated; “Vydya is a great chef, she takes an interest in each and every resident in the home. Her food is outstanding and there are never any complaints. Vydya is always calm and has a great sense of humour, she’s well-liked by all the residents and the team at Sundridge Court.”

Attended by over 340 guests the evening was a great occasion, with colleagues and business partners coming together to celebrate the very best care and support provided by outstanding people.
