‘Summer Holiday’ at Galsworthy House

On Thursday 13th July, Galsworthy House  in Kingston upon Thames, residents came to the Richmond Room at 6pm to watch a musical show called “Summer Holiday.”

The entertainer Phil was extremely good; he was great at interacting with everyone, putting hats and garlands on our residents and getting everyone in the mood for a musical trip and summer holiday.

Belting out such favourites such as ‘Summer Holiday’, ‘Bring Me Sunshine’, ‘Oh I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside’ and lots, lots, more, we were transported on a magical musical journey around the world.

It was such a lot of fun and we were all singing along and clapping along to the music. Phil really brought laughter and smiles to us all and a sense of summer and jollity into the home.

This is the second show we have had from them this year. The previous event was called ‘Roll out the Barrel’ which got everyone singing along so we knew they would be a real hit again.

By popular demand, the next show will be the autumn show of ‘Rock around the Clock’. We cannot wait for them to return and entertain us once again.

Galsworthy House provides the highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 72 elderly residents. Located in a prime position on Kingston Hill, the home enjoys wonderful views over Richmond Park, the largest Royal Park in London.
